This morning, in collaboration with the Latah County Sheriff’s Department, the Junior-Senior High School was placed on a “soft” lockdown. This is where students and staff are asked to remain in their classrooms or offices until they receive further notice from administration.
The Latah County Sheriff’s Department brought in three (3) K-9 units and they proceeded to search for drugs and/or drug paraphernalia, by sniffing out lockers, as well as a few random vehicles out in the school’s parking lot.
The exercise took approximately one hour. Upon completion, our students were released from the lockdown and were able to make it to their next class period on time. Our students and staff were great!
